"Bluegrass music is not just a genre, it’s a true American art form. Anybody can play the notes or sing bluegrass songs, but you know when it’s real or not. We are not just another band trying to get fans to listen to our music. This music belongs to the fans, and we’re privileged enough to play it." Those are the words of father and band founder Dan Rass, a forty year veteran of the music scene. Joining Dan are wife Teri, daughter Calyn, Calyn’s husband Neil and youngest of the Rass daughters, Hana Grace. (Click here for a more complete bio on the band.) |

Individually and together they have opened for all the biggies in country music-from George Jones and Dwight Joachim to Rascal Flats and Sugarland. Most everyone in BroadBAND had been playing in different bands together and several of them were already playing with lead singer Shelly Bush, so about 3 years ago they decided to put together BroadBAND, an all girl band with exceptional musicianship. The chemistry was instant and they have already made a name for themselves playing over 150 shows a year. Not only have they been playing to standing room only crowds on the local club scene in Nashville and to an abundant amount of growing fans on the club, casino, and fair circuits across America, they have landed the opportunity to share the stage with many major acts. In the last year, 33 new songs have been recorded and produced by Kenny Royster at Direct Image Studios in Nashville, and 26 of the songs were written by lead singer Shelly Bush. They recently opened for Lonestar and Sugarland at Country USA in June 2008. (Click here for a more complete bio on the band.)

The Greatest Hits Polka Band started about 5 years ago over a couple "refreshments". Rick Kinstetter and Ken Tebon were talking about the various bands they had played with over their 30 plus years of playing, and decided it would be fun to get a few of the guys together to start their own band. The name, Greatest Hits Polka Band, came from the fact that they started playing all the old hits from the different bands they had played with. This part-time get-together now gets them together about 35 times a year for functions such as weddings, parades, church services, fairs, and even private birthday parties. They do polkas, waltzes, and even a little bit of country! |
