Youth As Resource

Youth As Resources is a mini-grant program sponsored by the Door County Service Club Coalition. Here’s how it works........

People under the age of 21 can think of solutions to problems in their community. It could be anything, from ways to clean up a dirty park to helping kids stay away from tobacco.

Next, you develop a team of people to work with, like other youth and adult advisors and decide on a plan to carry out their project.

Finally, a grant application is filled out and submitted to the Youth As Resources Grant Coordinator.  If the application meets specifications, it’s passed on to the grant board of the Service Club Coalition. Applicants are required to briefly present their idea to the grant board in a special meeting.

If the grant is approved, groups can receive anywhere from $250.00 - $500.00 to complete the project.

If there are any questions about this process, or if you need help putting a project together, please contact Dawn Kuelz, Door County Youth As Resourcs Grant Coordinator, at 746-2260.

What does this tell you??
